Arrest Made After Two-Month Investigation
A breakthrough in a high-profile Seattle home invasion case: the Seattle Police Department arrested 29-year-old Patrick Maisonet, believed to be the suspect behind the terrifying home robbery of rapper Macklemore. The arrest follows a two-month probe into violent robberies targeting celebrities and athletes in the region.
Nanny Assaulted, Children Unharmed
The June incident occurred at Macklemore’s Capitol Hill residence. His children were asleep upstairs when two masked men burst in, sprayed bear repellent at his nanny, and demanded—“Where are the jewels, b****?” They then ransacked the master bedroom, stealing high-end jewelry, watches, and shoes.
Pawn Shop Raid Yields Priceless Stolen Items
Following the arrest, officers raided a Seattle pawn shop in South Seattle believed to be fencing stolen goods. Recoveries included a Seattle Sounders championship ring (engraved with Macklemore’s name), a Seahawks Super Bowl ring, a diamond tennis bracelet, and other luxury items valued at tens of thousands of dollars each.
Long Criminal History Comes to Light
Maionet’s criminal record is extensive. He was previously under home detention for prior robberies but had cut off his ankle monitor and vanished—prompting a warrant for his arrest. Authorities believe he may also be linked to multiple other high-profile burglaries. His full charges are expected to be filed soon.
