Kai Cenat: The Bronx‑Born Streamer Who Redefined Online Entertainment

From YouTube to Twitch record-breaker and “rizz” creator, Kai Cenat’s rise—from school pranks to Time100 Creator—spans viral moments, Nike deals, and cultural dominance.

At just 23 years old, Kai Carlo Cenat III—better known as Kai Cenat—has become one of the most influential creators in streaming and entertainment. Born in Brooklyn in 2001, he started his content journey in 2018 with YouTube skits and eventually co-founded the popular AMP collective.

By 2021, he shifted to Twitch, where his raw energy and authentic chemistry made him the most‑subscribed streamer of all time, mostly through his epic “Mafiathon” subathons and explosive livestreams.

Creatively, Kai isn’t just entertaining—he’s culturally iconic. He coined viral slang like rizz (short for charisma) and gyatt, with Oxford University Press naming “rizz” its Word of the Year in 2023.

His impact continues to grow: in 2024 he launched the college-style Streamer University, hosted a charity match at Wembley Stadium, and struck endorsement deals—most notably becoming the first streamer signed to Nike. Plus, he earned a spot on Time‘s inaugural Time100 Creators list in 2025.

Kai Cenat isn’t just streaming—he’s shaping culture, slang, and the future of influencer-driven entertainment.
