Masked Man Brandishing AR‑Style Rifle Robs Las Vegas Casino — Surveillance Footage Released

Police in Las Vegas have released shocking video footage showing a masked gunman armed with an AR‑style rifle robbing a casino’s cashier cage. The incident occurred late on November 13, 2025, and investigators say the suspect remains at large.

Incident Details

  • The suspect entered the casino — identified as the Rampart Casino on Rampart Boulevard — through the parking garage and made his way to the cashier cage at approximately 10:29 p.m. local time.
  • Surveillance video shows the man wearing a ballistic helmet, blue sunglasses, a black face mask and a blue & yellow security‑style jacket. He brandished an AR‑style rifle while demanding cash from the employee, who complied. A security guard backed away after spotting the rifle.
  • The suspect fled the scene before police arrival. As of now, no arrests have been made and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

Why This Incident Matters

  • The use of a high‑capacity rifle and ballistic helmet in a casino setting highlights the elevated threat level in certain robbery cases and the evolving tactics of armed criminals.
  • For the casino industry and Las Vegas’s broader hospitality sector, the event underscores vulnerabilities in large‑scale venues where large crowds, high cash flows and busy layouts may offer opportunities for brazen theft.
  • For patrons and employees, the incident serves as a reminder of the real safety risks in environments often perceived as controlled and secure.

What to Watch Next

  • Whether the LVMPD will release additional footage, suspect descriptions or surveillance stills that lead to identification and arrest.
  • Updates on how casinos, especially the Rampart and nearby venues, respond with security changes or policy reviews following the heist.
  • Whether the stolen amount is disclosed publicly and if the incident leads to litigation, insurance claims or increased security premiums for the industry.
