Diddy Wins Big in Sara Rivers Lawsuit — Judge Dismisses 21 of 22 Claims

1. Major Court Win for Diddy

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs scored a striking legal victory this week. A judge dismissed 21 of the 22 claims filed by former Making the Band contestant Sara Rivers—eliminating them with prejudice, meaning they cannot be refiled. Only a gender-motivated violence charge remains pending.

2. Bold Claims Swept Aside

Among the thrown-out accusations were serious charges like racketeering, assault and battery, forced labor, sexual harassment, and false imprisonment. The sole remaining claim under the Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act is on hold pending an appellate court’s review.

3. Background: Rivers’ Lawsuit

Filed in February, Rivers alleged that Diddy subjected her to hostile and abusive conditions while filming Making the Band 2. She cited humiliating tasks—like the infamous “cheesecake challenge”—being forced to sleep in an open bayroom, and experiencing unwanted physical advances.

4. Legal Strategy Continues

Rivers’ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, said they plan to appeal the decision, keeping the legal pressure alive. Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal streak continues: he was recently acquitted of federal racketeering and sex trafficking
