From Reality Drama to Alien Terror
Erica Mena—best known for her bold presence on Love & Hip Hop: New York—is shaking things up by stepping into the world of sci-fi horror. Her latest project, Run, premieres in theaters on August 29, 2025, and promises a heart-pounding mix of vacation vibes gone wrong and an alien invasion twist.
Horror as Healing
Mena shared with Latin Times how horror has always resonated with her:
“I’m a Scorpio, so horror and Halloween have always been my vibe… Screaming without guilt feels good. It’s therapy for me.”
Reuniting with Trusted Creators
Run marks a reunion with Chris Stokes and Marcus Houston—the same creative duo who gave her acting a launch pad in The Stepmother series. Mena described the opportunity as surreal and grounding:
“To be back with the people who believed in me from the beginning is such a blessing.”
A New Chapter Beyond Reality TV
Born in the Bronx to Dominican-Puerto Rican parents, Mena has forged a diverse career as an actress, model, and author. But now, she sees Run as more than just a film—it’s representation:
“I want people to see that we belong everywhere, even in sci‑fi horror.”
