Roc Nation Strikes Back
Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, is hitting back hard amid the $20 million lawsuit filed by Fat Joe’s former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon. The company argues the legal action wasn’t legitimate—it was a ploy to defame them and force a quick settlement.
The Shocking Email
Roc Nation’s legal team uncovered a crucial email from plaintiff’s attorney Tyrone Blackburn, admitting that Fat Joe “may have defrauded” Roc Nation as well. The email, reportedly sent just hours after Roc Nation filed a motion to dismiss, is being presented as devastating evidence undermining the entire lawsuit. This lawsuit was meant to harass and embarrass Roc Nation on the public stage,” the company’s attorneys wrote. With this admission in Blackburn’s own words, they argue, the suit lacks merit—purely a strategic smear campaign.
Roc Nation is now pushing for the case’s dismissal with prejudice, which would prevent any future re-filing. They’ve also asked the court to sanction Blackburn and cover their legal fees, citing baseless legal tactics.
